- JavaScript Rock Star - Guitar Hero meets YouTube - John Resig, the javascript genius behind the jQuery library (who also amazingly ported Processing to javascript recently) has made this (quite silly) button mashing game which challenges you to play along with a video of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit by pressing the A,S,D,F & G keys on your keyboard in time.

- Pixelpipe - Free your media, upload and share anywhere - Another meta-web service. This one lets you automatically post videos and still images to a variety of web services such as Flickr, Facebook, Vimeo and Youtube with one upload. They also do image hosting and can keep an archive of the files you upload, ftp them to a server or email you. (via ReadWriteWeb)

These are my links for August 18th:
- dpwolf.muxtape.com - I've been playing with muxtape today. The site allows you to upload and share a mix of mp3s. It's a bit flaky but it's a great idea with a very simple design. This is part of a mix I put together for a dj set a few weeks ago. It starts with The Velvet Underground and ends with Kanye West. Enjoy!
- Dead Programmer Society: I Would Rather Be A Jazz Programmer - A play on the idea of the 'rockstar programmer' used in many employment listings at startup web companies. (via htxt.org)
